A CiteSpace-based visualization analysis of clinical research on Xianling Gubao(仙灵骨葆)
Objective:To explore the clinical research status and trends of Xianling Gubao(仙灵骨葆,XLGB)through a CiteSpace-based visual analysis.Methods:The clinical research articles about XLGB included from 1991 to 2023 were retrieved from China National Knowledge Infrastructure through computer.The articles were screened according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria,and then the data from the included articles were imported into the CiteSpace software for visually analyzing the annual number of publications,authors,insti-tutions,and keywords.Results:①Eight hundred and forty-eight articles were searched out.After screening,624 ones were included in the final analysis,involving 233 journals,1692 authors,and 776 institutions.②The annual number of publications was below 10 with slight fluc-tuations from 1999 to 2005,surged from 2006 to 2008,remained at 20-30 with slight fluctuations from 2009 to 2013,gradually increased from 2014 to 2017 and peaked in 2017,and declined with fluctuations from 2018 to 2023.③The author collaboration networks with a large number of publications were that centered around SHI Xiaolin and that including SHI Li,HOU Qinwu,and MA Junling.④The top 5 institu-tions with the largest number of publications were Lishui Central Hospital of Zhejiang Province,The First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine,Beicai Community Health Service Center in Pudong New Area of Shanghai,The Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang Chinese Medical University,and Institute of Basic Research in Clinical Medicine,China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences in turn.⑤The result of keyword co-occurrence network(KCN)analysis showed that the salient nodes included XLGB,osteoporosis(OP),bone mineral density(BMD),clinical observation,and clinical efficacy.The result of frequency analysis showed that XLGB,OP,BMD and clini-cal observation appeared more frequently.The cluster analysis revealed large clusters on XLGB,OP,fractures,and BMD.Furthermore,the keyword burst analysis indicated that the burst keywords were clinical observation,Chinese medicine treatment,and Gufuhuo Tang(骨复活汤)before 2005;clinical research,knee joint,and osteoarthritis during 2006-2008;sodium hyaluronate,fracture healing,and calcium car-bonate and vitamin D3 tablets during 2009-2017;and bone metabolism,quality of life,and methotrexate after 2018.Conclusion:The clini-cal research on XLGB exhibits steady development in general,with phased rises and declines;meanwhile,less research teams are concerned on XLGB,with scattered authors and loose collaboration between teams;besides,the related research institutions are wide-spreading with loose collaboration.XLGB has attracted more attention in treatment of OP,and its mechanism(s)involved in regulating bone metabolism may be a future research orientation.
