Design and Optimization of Casting Process for ZM6 Magnesium Alloy Shell
The initial casting process design scheme for the Z-shaped complex thin-walled cylindrical shell casting of ZM6 magnesium alloy showed defects such as slag inclusion and porosity in the trial production results. After analyzing the causes of defects,by optimizing the design of the casting pouring system and chilling system,a reasonable process plan has been determined.By adopting the optimized casting forming process plan, the problems of slag inclusion and porosity defects in the castings were ultimately solved, and the internal and external quality of the castings met the technical requirements, achieving good technical and economic results.
