Solution to Shrinkage of Silicon Molybdenum Ductile Iron Exhaust Manifold
Due to the poor fluidity of Si-Mo heat-resistant ductile cast iron, the exhaust manifold castings of Si-Mo heat-resistant ductile cast iron produced by the original process of ductile cast iron has a large wall thickness difference, there are also many isolated heat joints which are difficult to fill. Therefore, shrinkage is produced in the roots of several isolated bolts in castings, and the shrinkage reaches 100%.Under the guidance of the process design theory of the balanced solidification pouring system, the exhaust manifold with good quality is produced by using the contact and close to the hot joint, and shrinkage can be eliminated.
