The Application Practice of Reducing the Cost of Ductile Iron Parts by Using SiC for Delayed Inoculation
The delayed inoculation process of ductile iron can reduce the total inoculation amount under the condition of guaranteeing the mechanical properties of castings by cancelling the one-time inoculation amount, controlling the reverse inoculation amount and ensuring the inoculation amount with the flow.At the same time, the reduced amount of silicon in the first inoculation is changed to silicon carbide in the furnace, which can be deoxidized and degassing to purify the iron liquid, and can also improve the nucleation capacity of the iron liquid, effectively increase the graphite core, thereby improving the mechanical properties of the casting and reducing the cost of the iron liquid.
