With China's translation education entering the stage of large-scale development,it is of great sig-nificance to reform and conduct practical research on the training mode of innovative translation talents,in or-der to keep up with the pace of technological innovation,adapt to the needs of the language service market and highlight professional characteristics in the context of the new liberal arts.Based on the new requirements and practical difficulties of the construction of the translation major under the background of the new liberal arts,this paper carries out benchmarking analysis based on three programmatic documents of the Ministry of Education to reshape the concept of talent cultivation of translation majors and the setting of cultivation objec-tives.From five aspects of cultivation models,curriculum designing,practical training system,quality assess-ment and faculty construction,this paper analyzes the characteristic construction and reform measures of trans-lation majors in Henan University of Technology in the cultivation of innovative talents.
