DIGITAL RURAL CONSTRUCTION EMPOWERS HIGH-QUALITY EMPLOYMENT OF MIGRANT WORKERS
As digital villages are gradually being built in rural areas,it has a profound impact on the employ-ment of the county's labor force.We match the digital village index with the 2020 CFPS data,construct the digital village index and the employment quality index of migrant workers,and test the impact of digital rural construction on the employment quality of migrant workers.The results show that the digital rural construction has a significant effect on the improvement of the employment quality of migrant workers.Moreover,two dimen-sions of job stability and protection of rights and interests are promoted significantly.The quantile regression found that as the employment quality index of migrant workers rises,the promotion effect of digital rural con-struction on the employment quality of migrant workers shows an inverted U-shaped trend.Migrant workers with high level employment quality easily benefit from the digital villages construction and enjoy dividends.The het-erogeneity test results indicate that the effect of digital rural construction on the improvement of employment quality is more significant for the groups of women,young and middle-aged,high human capital,and not-in-marriage migrant workers.The conclusions are informative for the further promotion of high-quality employment for migrant workers and the construction of digital villages.
