The Quantifier"Qia"(掐)in Gushi Dialect of Henan Province
In Gushi dialect,"Qia"(掐)verb and quantifier two uses coexist,as a quantifier,"Qia"(掐)means one or two hands grasp the amount,can also mean two chopsticks to pick up the amount of things.The quantifier"Qia"(掐)can match with numerals,nouns and demonstrative pronouns,and can also overlap,acting as subject,object,definite and adverbial in sentences.From the perspective of diachronic corpus,the quantifier"Qia"(掐)evolved from the verb"Qia"(掐).The usage of the quantifier appeared in the Song Dynasty,the spatial shape of the collocation object was highlighted in the Yuan Dynasty,and it represents the amount of things grasped by the hand in the Qing Dynasty.The original meaning of"Qia"(掐)is stab or cut off with fingers.The usage of quantifiers is the result of the joint action of metaphorical mechanism and metonymy mechanism.
