A Study on the Issue of Women Donating Lands in Henan Province During the Qing Dynasty
The women often donated lands in Henan province during the Qing dynasty,inscriptions had detailed re-cords about these donations.The main recipients of donating lands by the women in Henan province dur-ing the Qing dynasty were various temples,family ancestral halls,and social public welfare and charity undertakings.In the Qing dynasty,the women donated lands to temples in order to seek divine protection and fulfill the endogeny needs originating from their families.That the women donated lands to ancestral temples was due to family sacrifice and ancestral inheriting.That the women donated lands to various pub-lic welfare and charity undertakings was a kind idea originating from the heart.The donation of land by the women in Henan province during the Qing dynasty led to change in the ownership of the land,moreover,it reflected the issue of rural social integration in the Qing dynasty.
