Relationship Dimension:An Analysis Framework for the Choice of Farmland Transfer Contract
As the link of farmland transfer,if the contract is not suitable for the transfer,it will cause transfer dis-putes,increase unnecessary social transaction costs, and damage the legitimate rights and interests of both parties. This paper uses a multidisciplinary cross-analysis method to embed the'relationship dimension'theory into the context of farmland transfer contract selection, and constructs a theoretical analysis frame-work covering the transferor and four types of transaction subjects and four types of relationship types matched with them. The influence mechanism of types of transaction subjects to choose different relation-ship types of contracts is verified by multi-case analysis method. The results show that due to the signifi-cant differences in the timeliness of the time dimension and the selectivity of the spatial dimension in the relationship dimension, the farmland transfer is matched with the relationship contract, the oral contract, the written contract and the written formal contract respectively in the fixed relationship, the friendship re-lationship,the agreement relationship and the loose relationship, which can better meet the utility expecta-tions of both parties and bring cooperation surplus. This framework can provide a reference for the match-ing and optimization of farmland transfer contracts in China under heterogeneous situations, and provide a new perspective for the academic community to explore the issue of farmland transfer contracts.
