Demand and Quality Orientation of Reconstituted Tobacco for Export
Objective Demand and quality orientation of reconstituted tobacco for export.Methods Sensory quality evaluation,fiber morphology analysis,conventional chemical index analysis,hot water soluble matter and ash analysis and volatile aroma substance content analysis were carried out on 14 kinds of reconstituted tobacco leaves at different price ranges at home and abroad to provide theoretical and data support for the design and development of reconstituted tobacco leaves for export.Results(1)With the increase of the price range,the internal sensory quality of the sample was improved to some extent,which was mainly manifested in the enhancement of flavor richness,aroma quantity,smoke texture,and the improvement of wood impurity and comfort.(2)The average fiber length and fiber width distribution of reconstituted tobacco products in the low price range were both large,which was analyzed to be due to the high proportion of cheap tobacco stem materials used in tobacco raw material formulation.(3)Indicators with negative effects such as the content of acid salts have basically no correlation with the sample price range,and the overall distribution of potassium chloride ratio,nitrogen base ratio and bisugar ratio is relatively stable.However,the glycemic ratio index will show an upward trend with the increase of the price range.(4)Some reconstituted tobacco products in the high price range have excellent sensory quality but low content of hot water soluble matter,which is caused by the high content of effective odorant components in the hot water soluble matter.Fundamentally speaking,they use a higher proportion of high-quality tobacco debris raw materials or introduce a higher proportion of exogenous odorant substances in the tobacco paste system.(5)The nicotine content of reconstituted tobacco leaves in the higher price range was generally higher in the samples in the lower price range.On the contrary,the total amount of neophytadiene,macrophytrienone and volatile aroma substances increased with the increase of price range.Conclusion It provides theoretical and data support for the design and development of reconstituted tobacco for export.
