Analysis of Calcium Treatment Process for Low Carbon Aluminum Killed Steel
The variations of the inclusions types and modification mechanisms in the low-carbon aluminum killed steel were qualitatively and quantitatively analyzed in different time of calcium treatment in the today production and process. The results show that the magnesium spinel and calcium sulfide in the steel are combined in different degree and mutual diffusion;the appropriate calcium intake is 0.001 5% to 0.002 6%,which can change Al2O3 inclusions into calcium aluminate as possible without increasing CaS content in existing conditions.
