元功能理论视角下轻化工专业英语翻译策略研究

摘要
以"语言是人类用来表意的工具"为主要指导思想的系统功能语言学对20世纪后半叶的语言学研究影响显著.从系统功能语言学视角,进一步规范与完善英语翻译,对于提高轻化工专业英语翻译质量意义重大.对此,简述了语言的三大元功能,分析了元功能理论在英语翻译中的应用价值.专业英语翻译能力的提升对轻化工行业的技术创新、绿色转型发展、国际科学知识交流均有着重要意义.针对轻化工专业英语翻译特点和切实需求,从概念功能实现、人际功能实现和语篇功能实现三方面探究了轻化工专业英语翻译技巧和策略,以进一步发展与丰富元功能理论的应用领域,为轻化工专业英语翻译实践提供理论依据.
Abstract
Systematic functional linguistics,which takes"language is a tool used by human beings to express meaning"as its main guiding ideology,has a significant influence on linguistic research in the second half of the 20th century.From the perspective of systemic functional linguistics,further standardizing and perfecting English translation is of great significance for improving the quality of English translation for light chemical major.In this regard,the paper briefly discusses the three meta-functions of language and analyzes the application value of meta-functional theory in English translation.The improvement of professional English translation ability is of great significance to the technological innovation,green transformation development and international scientific knowledge exchange of the light chemical industry.Aiming at the characteristics and practical needs of English translation for light chemical majors,this paper explores the translation skills and strategies of English translation for light chemical majors from three aspects:conceptual function realization,interpersonal function realization and textual function realization,so as to further develop and enrich the application field of meta-function theory and provide theoretical basis for English translation practice for light chemical majors.
