In traditional cooking,the cooking additives used are mainly sulfides(such as sodium sulfide),anthraquinone(AQ)and its derivatives.Sulfide additives have a great impact on the environment,and more and more restricted SO2 emission regulations were established for environmental protection purpose.Anthraquinone cooking additives are well accepted by pulp mills for quite a long time.However,it has a great scaling impact for the evaporation equipmenton the black liquor alkali recovery system.Guangdong Paper Industry Company adds the AP8180(AQ)cooking additive in the cooking process.After long-term use,it is found that the scaling speed of pulping white liquid pipeline and alkali recovery evaporator is fast and serious;especially the evaporator presents a bridge stiffness scale,the cleaning cycle became shorter and the cleaning difficulty is also great;in addition,the dilute white liquid or light polluted condensed water used in frequent re-boiling will enter the black liquid system,causing many problems such as steam waste.In order to improve the above situation,Guangdong Paper Industry Company began to use QX-37(surfactant)cooking additive together with AP8180.The results show that,The combination of QX-37 and AP8180 ensures stable cooking parameters and pulp yield.It can also slow down the scaling speed and degree of the evaporation plate,increase the effective concentration by about 1.8%TS,and greatly reduce energy costs.
