A magnetic adsorbent nickel ferrite/paper sludge biochar(NiFe2O4/AC)was prepared by loading nickel ferrate(NiFe2O4)onto paper sludge biochar using chemical co-precipitation method to study its adsorption of the antibiotic ciprofloxacin(CIP)from wastewater. The structure, morphology, magnetic properties and other properties of the material were characterized by BET,XRD,SEM,VSM and XPS,and the influencing factors, adsorption kinetics and adsorption isotherms of the adsorbent for the adsorption of ciprofloxacin(CIP)were investigated. The results showed that the adsorption amount reached 600.19 mg·g-1 at the temperature of 25℃,pH 6,the initial concentration of CIP of 300 mg·L-1,the dosage of biochar of 0.4 g·L-1,and the adsorption time of 600 min.The experimental data were consistent with the quasi-primary kinetics and the Langmuir model, indicating that the adsorption process is a monolayer physical adsorption process.Meanwhile, the adsorbent with applied magnetic field can be separated from the solution, which has potential application in antibiotic wastewater treatment.
