The filter paper used by the heavy load motor vehicle engine will greatly affect the service state and service life of the engine.Taking a heavy load motor vehicle engine as an example,a new type of high-grade filter paper for the engine was prepared.The main components of the filter paper were hardwood pulp and coniferous wood pulp,and the effect of strengthening and toughening was achieved by coating with infiltrating resin.The comprehensive properties of the filter paper were analyzed.The results showed that when the ratio of cellulose raw material of the mercerized wood pulp was 40%～80%,the resin content was 10%～20%,and the water content of the finished product was about 8%,the break resistance and filtration performance of the filter paper were ideal.
