Pulp and paper translation plays a very important role in today's globalized economic environment.It is not only a tool for technical communication,but also an important force to promote cultural exchange,academic research and international trade.Aiming at the problems existing in English translation teaching for pulp and paper majors,a practical translation training model based on translation workshop platform is proposed.In this regard,this paper compares and analyzes the differences between traditional English translation teaching and translation workshop teaching in pulp and paper making,explores the composition of START translation practical training mode and its application significance in English translation teaching for pulp and paper majors,and studies the construction and implementation strategies of START translation practical training mode for pulp and paper majors based on translation workshops.In order to give full play to the teaching value of START translation training and improve the English translation teaching level of pulp and paper major.
