In the rapidly changing society,the traditional handicraft market urgently needs innovation and reform. As an outstanding achievement passed down from generation to generation,Xuan paper is now facing the dilemma of adapting to the modern consumer market. Especially,the integration of handmade paper making techniques with cultural and creative design is relatively lacking,with insufficient innovation. How to achieve the creative integration of cultural and creative products with the production techniques of rice paper is an important issue that current designers are exploring. By excavating the wisdom and experience of the older generation of papermaking artists,combined with modern aesthetic and technological needs,the traditional rice paper papermaking skills are innovatively developed. This includes improving the selection of raw materials,optimizing the technological process,improving production efficiency,etc.,so that rice paper can maintain its unique charm while more suitable for the needs of the modern cultural and creative market.This article proposes how to achieve the comprehensive integration of cultural and creative design and rice paper craftsmanship based on the inheritance and development status of handmade paper making techniques on rice paper.
