Kushulan paper cutting is a kind of intangible cultural heritage project with Chinese traditional characteristics in Shaanxi province. In order to realize the innovative protection and inheritance of Kushulan paper-cut intangible heritage art,the visual expression form and redesign idea of the intangible heritage are studied. From the perspectives of color,composition and modeling,this paper analyzes the visual expression techniques of Ku Shulan's paper-cut intangible heritage,and believes that compared with other paper-cut arts in China,Ku Shulan's paper-cut has strong color contrast,exaggerated full-frame composition and intuitive and pure modeling characteristics. The re-design idea of Ku Shulan paper-cut is summarized and elaborated in detail mainly from the perspective of packaging design,poster design,illustration design and so on.
