With the rapid development of the Internet,"network subculture" has spread widely among college students in a new cultural form,which has a profound impact on their values,behavior,thinking and mental health. As an important branch in the field of science and engineering,the students of Light Chemical major not only show their unique interests,preferences and creativity in the process of contact and integration into the network subculture,but also face challenges such as insufficient information screening ability and value conflict. This paper first briefly describes the network subculture,then analyzes the negative impact of network subculture on students majoring in light chemical engineering and the causes of the phenomenon of network subculture,and puts forward effective education and guidance strategies for reference.
