The papermaking industry,as an internationally recognized pillar industry,needs to be highly aligned with the international community in the future,which raises the requirement for internal language translation in professional fields. When translating professional English in the paper industry,the theory of language schema,as a highly compatible translation method with the paper industry,plays a guiding role in professional English translation work that cannot be underestimated,and its fundamental lies in accurately understanding and mastering the source and target languages,in order to grasp sufficient linguistic knowledge of professional English vocabulary,grammar,sentence structures,etc. in the paper industry and apply them in practice,in order to generate accurate and appropriate language schemas and provide translation support. By analyzing the guiding value of language schema theory on the translation of professional English vocabulary in the paper industry,as well as the characteristics of professional English vocabulary in the paper industry,this study deeply explores the translation strategies of professional English vocabulary in the paper industry supported by language schema theory.
