Research on occurrence law and prediction of gas emission in the No.8 well of Sikeshu mining area
In order to master the gas occurrence law of B5 coal seam in the No.8 well of Sikeshu mining area, and predict the gas emis-sion amount in the unexploited area,to guide the mine gas disaster management, the original gas content and gas pressure were meas-ured,the impact of tectonics and the rock properties of the roof and floor on the gas occurrence was analyzed, the gas geology unit was divided, and the gas emission amount of each working face was predicted. The results show that the Sikeshu synclinal axis is far from the second mining area, which has limited impact on the preservation and escape of gas,but has a significant impact on the occurrence of gas in the third mining area. The gas storage and accumulation areas are located above the neutral plane of the two wings and axis, while the synclinal axis is an abnormal area with high gas content and gas pressure. The B5 coal seam belongs to the same gas geology unit, and is affected by the lithology of the roof and floor, making it difficult for gas to escape. The gradients of gas content and gas pressure of the B5 coal seam with burial depth are 1.27 m3/(t·hm)and 0.15 MPa/hm,respectively.The gradients of the absolute and relative gas emission gradients of the B5 coal seam working face with burial depth are 6.26 m3/(min·hm)and 1.78 m3/(t·hm),respectively.The gas content and gas emission overall show a trend of gradually increasing from south to north.
