Research and application of a direct measurement device for gas pressure in directional long drilling
Accurate measurement of coal seam gas pressure is the basis for formulating gas prevention and control measures in coal mines.For coal seams with overall low gas content and local enrichment,the method of arranging cross-seam drilling and pressure meas-urement in the construction roadway of the coal seam floor is adopted,which is costly and time-consuming.In response to this issue,a fixed point sealing pressure measuring device for long drilling was developed,and a method of using directional drilling machines to con-struct directional multi branch long drilling in coal seams was proposed.A sealing pressure measuring device was installed in the branch holes for fixed point pressure measurement.An on-site engineering test was conducted in Chensilou Coal Mine to measure the gas pres-sure at different positions of a 300 meter directional multi branch drilling.The results show that the developed pressure measuring device has a reasonable structure,high automation level,and reliable performance.The gas pressure measured by this device is consistent with the measured value of the same position of the floor roadway cross-seam drilling,which is closer to the actual value of the coal seam gas pressure,providing scientific and accurate basic data for regional prediction of the risk of coal and gas outburst.
