Geochemistry distribution characteristics and source identification of heavy metals in soil of Fangshan Coal Mine area in Beijing
Fangshan Coal Mine area has a century-long history of coal mining, which may cause pollution to the surrounding ecological environment. In order to evaluate the soil environment condition in Fangshan coal mine area, the most representative mining area was se-lected in Zhoukoudian area of Fangshan as the research area.In the study,196 surface soil samples and 40 deep soil samples were col-lected,and the concentrations of As,Cd,Cr,Hg,Ni,Pb and Zn were tested and analyzed.Using a combination of mathematical statis-tics,cluster analysis, factor analysis, and spatial distribution analysis to study the surface and deep distribution characteristics of heavy metal elements in the soil of Fangshan coal mining area, and explored their sources. The results show that the average values of heavy metal elements in the study area are generally higher than the regional background values in Beijing, with Hg elements being particularly prominent. The distribution of other elements in the surface soil is relatively uniform, except for Hg,Cd,and As.Except for Pb and Zn elements, the enrichment coefficients of other elements in topsoil are generally higher than those in surface soil.Through correlation a-nalysis and cluster analysis,it can be concluded that the sources of Cr and Ni,Hg and Pb,Cd and Zn may be the same. The parent ma-terial and natural soil-forming process may be the main factors affecting the distribution characteristics of Cr and Ni elements in soil, the industrial and mining activities may be the reasons for the high content of Cd and Zn elements, and the geological background combined with human activities may be the reasons affecting the distribution of Hg and Pb elements. From the perspective of spatial distribution the content of heavy metals in the northern part of the study area is higher than that in the southern part, and the spatial distribution characteristics of Hg and Pb,Cr and Ni,Zn and Cd are similar. The contents of As,Cu,Pb,Zn,Cr,Ni and other elements have little difference in the vertical direction, but the contents increase gradually with the increase of depth, and the peak appears in the clay lay-er.However,the two elements Hg and Cd show obvious surface cohesion.
