Study on shallow geothermal exploration in Luoyang City by induced polarization sounding method
The exploration and development of geothermal resources are of great significance in supporting the green development of the urban economy in Luoyang City.The research area is located in Luoyang Basin,with complex terrain and landform types.Conventional methods have little effect in geothermal exploration,while geophysical exploration methods have the characteristics of low cost,high effi-ciency,and strong applicability,playing an extremely important role in current geothermal exploration.On the basis of systematically sor-ting out the terrain and landform,stratigraphic lithology,hydrogeological characteristics,and rock geophysical properties of the study are-a,induced polarization sounding methods were selected to conduct detailed research processes such as comparative analysis of electrical sounding curve characteristics,accurate collection of geophysical data,inversion interpretation of sounding results,and abnormal infer-ence.The lithology and structural distribution of the strata in the study area within the burial depth of 225 m were basically found out,and the spatial distribution of aquifers was inferred,providing support for indirectly searching for shallow geothermal resources in the re-gion and providing sufficient basis for arranging boreholes for the next step in searching for geothermal resources.
