Simulation calculation and analysis of PE gas pipeline with volume defects under ground subsidence
PE pipelines have good toughness and are widely used in urban gas pipelines,water supply and drainage pipelines,etc.How-ever,due to the lower strength of PE pipelines,defects or scratches are more likely to occur during installation and use,which can affect pipeline performance.With the gradual development of urbanization,many developed cities in China have experienced regional land sub-sidence to varying degrees,which has brought many safety hazards to these PE pipelines.This article used the constitutive model and ge-ological conditions of PE gas pipelines in SY City as the basic parameters to conduct tensile tests on PE gas pipelines with volumetric defects,and obtained the influence of defects on pipeline performance.At the same time,with the help of finite element analysis soft-ware,a volume defect type pipeline model was established to simulate and analyze the force exerted by defects on PE pipelines under ground settlement.The impact laws of defect length,defect circumference angle,and defect depth on pipeline safety performance under ground settlement was obtained,providing theoretical reference for engineering practice.
