Characteristics and source analysis of associated water in Nanyishan Oilfield,Qaidam Basin
High yield lithium rich potassium boron brine has been discovered in wells A,B,and C in Nanyishan of the Qaidam Basin. In order to promote the exploration, evaluation, and comprehensive development and utilization of associated water in the oilfield, the water quality, distribution layers, and reservoir characteristics of the associated water in Nanyishan were mastered by organizing seismic,log-ging,testing,and analytical data.Using methods such as brine characteristic coefficients, element correlations, and isotope characteris-tics,the genesis and sources of associated water elements in Nanyishan Oilfield were analyzed. It was believed that the Paleogene strata in the core of the anticline in the area were deeply buried and had good sealing conditions, and structural traps and geostress conditions were conducive to brine enrichment. It was clarified that the associated water in the oilfield in this area was a sedimentary metamorphic origin in a deep sealed environment. The element characteristic coefficients, distribution laws, and trace ion composition of the brine re-vealed that the associated brine in Nanyishan Oilfield was formed by sedimentary metamorphism in a deep sealed environment. After at-mospheric precipitation,it leaches and dissolves the surrounding magmatic and igneous rocks in the basin. It is replenished by volcanic hot springs and converges into the ancient and recent lake basins. After evaporation and concentration,it is sealed in the sedimentary metamorphic brine of the strata.
