WIM-based geological hazard susceptibility evaluation:Taking Zunhua City as an example
Taking Zunhua City as an example,we used cluster analysis to determine eight factors, including slope height, slope, slope di-rection,engineering geological rock group, tectonics, normalized vegetation index(ND VI),water system, and road,to form a geological hazard susceptibility evaluation index system, and used the weighted information volume(WIM)model after coupling the analysis of lay-ers(AHP)and information volume(IM)model to evaluate the geological hazard susceptibility in the study area. The results showed that the areas of high, medium, low, and non-prone areas in the study area were 60.94 km2(4.007%),487.87 km2(32.076%),330.93 km2(21.757%),and 641.26 km2(42.160%),respectively,and the AUC value of WIM evaluation result was 0.853,which was higher than the IM evaluation result(AUC=0.712),indicating that the WIM model evaluation result was more accurate. It can provide a refer-ence basis for geological hazard evaluation, disaster prevention, and mitigation work in the region.
