Pre-Jurassic palaeogeomorphology characteristics and oil and gas reservoir-forming mode in Hujianshan area of Ordos Basin
The distribution of oil reservoirs in the Jurassic Yan'an Formation in the Ordos Basin is controlled to varying degrees by palaeomorphology. The Hujianshan area is located at the confluence of two ancient rivers,Gansu Shaanxi,Inner Mongolia Shaanxi. The accuracy of palaeogeomorphology characteristics is insufficient, which seriously restricts the progress of oil and gas exploration and de-velopment.Based on the combined drilling and logging data, six palaeogeomorphology units were divided in the Hujianshan area using impression method, residual thickness method, and comprehensive method, including ancient river valleys, inter river hills, terraces, slopes, slope mouths, and low residual hills.Furthermore, combined with oil testing and production performance data, two reservoir for-mation models, namely slope mouth reservoir-forming and inter river hill reservoir-forming,were summarized. The research results pro-vide geological basis for the next exploration and development deployment.
