Study on air curtain dust control system and its dust suppression performance in fully-mechanized driving face
Controlling the concentration of flour dust in fully-mechanized driving face within a reasonable concentration and a certain spatial range is related to the physical health and life safety of underground coal mine workers.Controlling the concentration and diffu-sion of dust in coal mine fully-mechanized driving face has always been one of the important contents of coal mine dust research.In or-der to optimize the dust removal effect,the dust distribution law was studied.Taking the No.16403 fully-mechanized driving face of Laoshidan Coal Mine as the research object,a comprehensive forced ventilation and air curtain dust control technology were adopted to establish an air curtain dust control system for the fully-mechanized driving face.According to the actual field data parameters,the geo-metric model of the forced ventilation fully-mechanized driving face was established,and the Fluent numerical simulation software was used to simulate the air flow field and dust field,and the dust distribution law of the fully-mechanized driving face was studied before and after the air curtain dust control measures were adopted.Finally,the simulation results were compared with the field measured re-sults,and the error was controlled within a reasonable range.The research results show that a single forced ventilation can not effectively control dust pollution in fully-mechanized driving face,through the introduction of air curtain dust control system can achieve effective dust control effect,dust concentration and spatial distribution range of fully-mechanized driving face roadway significantly improved.The dust concentration of the roadheader driver and the positions with intensive personnel activities on both sides of the roadway should be kept within a reasonable range.
