Multi parameter evaluation of fault sealing of northern part of Chemo Plaeo-uplift in Junggar Basin
A series of fault block oil and gas reservoirs have been discovered in the Jurassic system in the northern part of Chemo Plaeo-uplift,and the production and accumulation of oil and gas are controlled by the fault sealing.In order to study the sealing ability of mul-tiple types of faults,seismic and well logging data were used to evaluate fault sealing by using normal stress of fracture,closure index of fracture,shale content and mudstone scraping ratio,and multiple parameter combination methods were selected for faults of different properties.Virtual well method with 3Dmove software was used for sealing analysis.Finally,the fuzzy mathematics evaluation method was used to obtain the comprehensive evaluation index,sum up the factors affecting the fault sealing ability,and predict the favorable fault.The results show that the fault sealing in the northern area of Chemo Plaeo-uplift has a moderate deviation,and the current sealing is better than that in the accumulation period.The sealing ability of the fault is mainly affected by the strike,scale and thickness of mud-stone and sandstone,but has no obvious relationship with the positive pressure of the fault.The fault sealing in Shawodi area is better than that in Moxizhuang area,and the fault sealing in Zhuangbei area is the worst.It is of great significance to study the sealing property of faults in the north of Chemo Plaeo-uplift by various methods for predicting favorable faults and finding fault block oil and gas reser-voirs with oil and gas enrichment.
