Solution of Blowhole Defects on the Large Complex Casting Surface
Taking a large body as an example,the solution to the porosity defect on the upper surface of complex body is summarized.The formation mechanism of pore defects was analyzed by casting virtual simulation.The main reasons are as follows.When hot metal reaches the upper surface,the temperature drops to about 1 210 ℃,which is not conducive to the floating and discharge of intrusive gas.The upper surface of the body lacks longitudinal exhaust channels,gas holes and overflow risers.The upper part of the camshaft is an arched thin-wall structure,and the hot metal is thick and the gas flow is not smooth and can not be discharged smoothly.By improving the structure of the upper surface and increasing the exhaust capacity,the surface porosity defects of the casting can be solved.
