Analysis and Prevention of Surface Abnormal Defects of Cast Iron after Finishing
After finishing the cast iron, the large area of abnormal pitting defects on the finishing surface of the workpiece result in unqualified roughness and excessive size.In this paper, the reproducibility test found that this"false-defect"is due to the stratification of the emulsion that is not resistant to hard water in the machining process, which leads to the deterioration of the cutting fluid and the reduction of the anti-rust ability, resulting in the workpiece being corroded by the cutting fluid after processing, and causing"pitting"or local rust defects on the finished surface. Finally,by improving and controlling the basic parameters of cutting fluid, these defects are effectively removed.
