Relationship between Process Parameters and Defects of Static Leaf Holding Ring in Sand Casting Process Based on InteCAST
The defects such as shrinkage hole, shrinkage loose, air volume and deformation in sand castings with stationary blades have great influence on the performance of the castings, and it is difficult to optimize the process by traditional methods.Numerical simulation and orthogonal test were used to study the effect of different process parameters on the shrinkage and porosity of alloy after mold filling and solidification. The results show that selecting the appropriate pouring temperature, shortening the filling time and rai-sing the initial casting temperature can effectively reduce the shrinkage and porosity of the castings, and selecting a higher pouring tem-perature can reduce the deformation of the castings. The test results show that the best casting quality can be obtained when the filling time is 15 s,the pouring temperature is 1 590℃and the initial casting temperature is 30℃.The analysis results can provide theoreti-cal and technical support for the design and manufacture of sand mold casting with stationary blade retaining ring.
