Influence of Pig Iron Inheritance on the Properties of Nodular Cast Iron
The effects of pig iron types on the properties of ductile iron with the same charge ratio were studied. The cube with side length of 250 mm was poured at 1 340 ℃~1 350 ℃,and its microstructure was observed and its performance was tested. The results showed that under the same production conditions, the self-organization morphology of different pig irons had significant differences in the graphite size, spheroidization rate, structure and properties of nodular cast iron under the same proportion, among which the number of graphite balls had the greatest impact on the low-temperature impact performance. The edges and hearts of pig iron A,B,C,and D have graphite spans of 10~25 and 20~35 per square millimeter, respectively.
