The teaching of applied English in vocational colleges still faces challenges and deficiencies in practical implementa-tion.To address these issues,a teaching model tailored for applied English in vocational colleges is proposed based on the Outcomes-Based Education(OBE).This model revolves around student-centeredness,outcome orientation,backward de-sign,diverse assessment,and continuous improvement.This teaching approach prioritizes the ideal outcomes students should achieve.Teachers then design instructional plans in reverse based on these objectives and assess each stage of instruction to continually refine the teaching process.This study can offer insights and theoretical guidance for the teaching of applied English in vocational colleges in China.
