Since the modernization of Chinese society,the phenomenon of"disconnection"due to spatial separation and e-motional alienation has become one of the important characteristics of modern Chinese kinship relations.The development of media can create the possibility of bringing the two generations closer.Through family groups,video calls and other means,the loneliness of the elderly can be alleviated and the phenomenon of"disconnection"between the two generations can be de-layed.However,the root cause of the"separation"is the weakening of geographical relations and the difference of values,and the use of social media cannot fully compensate for the deep gap between generations.On the contrary,parents and chil-dren are different in their ability to accept the digital age,and this"digital generation gap"will lead to deeper misunder-standings between generations.
