功能对等下《论语》“君子”、“小人”的英译研究

摘要
从源语读者反应和目标读者反应的角度探讨《论语》译本的翻译功能对等，通过比较辜鸿铭、Arthur Waley和Robert Eno三个英译版本中的特定句子中的“君子”与“小人”的翻译，提出新时代《论语》翻译应切合新时代目标受众的需求，以音译法来翻译“君子”“小人”等文化词的翻译策略。
Abstract
This study, from the aspect of the responses of source readers and target readers, discussed about the functional equivalence of the translationin The Analects. On comparing the English translation of “junzi” and “xiaoren” inThe Analectsof the three English versions--Gu Hongming, Arthur Waley and Robert Eno, this study probes into the transliteration for the translation strategies of the cultural words like “junzi” and “xiaoren”,which should be based on the needs of the target readers of the modern times.
