Experimental Investigation into the Impact of Automobile Line Fail-ures on Vehicle Damage:A Case Study of Ground Short——Circuit Faults in the Ignition Control Circuit of the Volkswagen Magotan
This article proposes a method, grounded in experimental research,to predict the consequences of automobile line failures on vehicle damage, considering both economic and safety perspectives. The proposed test strategy involves:(1)constructing working circuits for simple electrical components, inducing target faults in these circuits, verifying the resulting damage to the electrical equipment, and predicting potential consequenc-es for the entire vehicle;(2)conducting tests on electrical equipment with complex operating conditions using certain circuits of the original vehicle;and(3)utilizing dismantled parts from old cars for testing more expen-sive electrical equipment.Using the ground short-circuit faults in the ignition control line of the Volkswagen Ma-gotan 1.8-liter CEAA engine as a case study, this article provides a detailed elaboration of the proposed method. The findings of this experimental approach offer valuable insights into predicting the consequences of circuit faults in automobile circuit fault diagnosis teaching.
