文化自信是中国特色社会主义的"四个自信"之一,全球化背景下,英语教学更要注重实用性和文化性相结合,培育学生的自信心和自豪感.以中华文化为切入点,阐述文化自信深度融入大学英语课堂教学符合国家战略、社会需要与学生发展要求,分析文化自信背景下大学英语教学存在教材内容西方元素较多、学生受网络影响较深、教师传统文化素养较弱等问题,从挖掘中国文化元素、发挥数字时代优势、提高教师综合能力3个方面提出相应路径,以期有效引导青年大学生在英语学习中坚定文化自信.
Exploring Paths for Integrating Cultural Confidence into University English Classroom Instruction
Cultural confidence is one of the"four self-confidences"of socialism with Chinese characteris-tics.In the era of globalization,English teaching should emphasize the fusion of practicality and culture to nur-ture students'confidence and pride.This paper advocates for the deep integration of cultural confidence into university English classroom instruction,aligning with national strategies,societal needs,and students'personal development.It examines the challenges faced in university English teaching within the context of cultural con-fidence,including Western-centric textbooks,students'Internet-driven influences,and teachers'limited tradi-tional cultural knowledge.To empower young students with strong cultural self-confidence in English educa-tion,the paper suggests strategies for incorporating Chinese cultural elements,leveraging digital resources,and enhancing teachers'overall proficiency.
