Isogeometric Analysis (IGA) is an important emerging numerical method that is being studied in various field。 IGA is proposed to seamlessly connect the Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) and the Computer-Aided Design (CAD) systems, so that the costly mesh generating stage in traditional Finite Element Method (FEM) can be skipped to improve the efficiency of design and analysis。 In this paper, an IGA approach is introduced to the hull structural mechanical analysis。 A Reissner-Mindlin shell element is constructed in the IGA framework, and the expression of the element stiffness matrix and load vector are derived in detail。 Using the proposed method, a typical hull block structure is analyzed under both bending and torsion load。 The maximum relative error of the displacement results is 1。6% compared to the reference results obtained from ANSYS 17。0, and the correctness of the proposed method is verified。 It also proves that the proposed method can be used in engineering practice, and can be used to realize the integration of design and analysis。
