The world of the traditional African is the world of interaction, cooperation, socialisation, and harmonious relationship between all the forces of nature including man and his environment. This interaction witnesses man in his habitat in constant and steady relationship with trees from where he gets his food, his shelter, his health, and indeed, his spiritual needs as he struggles to fulfill his purpose on earth. The work takes a deep look at some of the trees that man interacts with and what purpose or solution they offer him. Sadly, it does appear that some of these trees are daily being destroyed by deforestation for many reasons and further exposing the African man to the dangers of food shortage, lack of traditional healthcare, and desert encroachment. To restore the dignity of the African man and indeed humanity, humans should engage in tree planting for health sustainability. The time to do the right thing is now.
