Such a robot system is disclosed, forexample, in JP-A-2020-179486.“JP-A-2020-179486 discloses a robot system that includes a robot body and a robot controller thatcontrols the robot body. The robot body includes a plurality of drive shafts. A motor that drives the driveshaft and an encoder that detects the rotational position of a rotation shaft of the motor are provided ateach drive shaft. The encoder is provided with a storage unit that stores the serial number of the robotbody. When the power is turned on, the robot controller determines whether or not the serial numbersread from the storage units of the respective encoders are the same as each other. If the serial numbersare not the same as each other, the motor has been replaced. Therefore, when the serial numbers are notthe same as each other, the robot controller generates a motor replacement error.
