In a conventionaldistribution model, the retailer receives pallets of cases including inventory, which inventory is also referredto as “eaches.” Conventionally, received eaches are stripped of their packaging, organized by Stock KeepingUnit or “SKU,” and then transferred to storage containers for storage until needed. At least some of thesesteps have traditionally been performed manually.”
