News editors obtained the following quote from the background information supplied by the inventors:““The present invention relates to a bag clamping and sealing machine.“Taiwanese Utility Model No. M626319 discloses a retaining device for bags, and the retaining deviceis installed to the inlet of a feeder of a filling station from which particles (for example) are poured intothe bag. After the bag is filled with the bag is filled with the desired amount of the particles, the retainingdevice expands the opening of the bag from a round cross section into a narrow and flat cross section, and the opening is in upright status which is conveniently for a robotic arm to clamp and transfer the bag fromthe filling station to a sealing station.
