Abstract

According to news reportingout of New Haven, Connecticut, by NewsRx editors, research stated, “Plants with Crassulacean acidmetabolism (CAM) have long been associated with a specialized anatomy, including succulence and thickphotosynthetic tissues. Firm, quantitative boundaries between non-CAM and CAM plants have yet to beestablished - if they indeed exist.Using novel computer vision software to measure anatomy, we combinednew measurements with published data across flowering plants.”Funders for this research include NSF - Division of Integrative Organismal Systems (IOS), NationalScience Foundation (NSF).
