Reporters obtained the following quote from the background information supplied by the inventors: “Inoffshore drilling operations, the drilling operations may be performed using a drilling riser. The drilling risermay extend between the subsea wellhead assembly at the seafloor and the drilling vessel. The drilling risermay be made up of a number of individual riser joints. These riser joints may be connected to each otherusing connecting elements such as riser bolts. Further, the drilling riser also has a number of auxiliaryconduits that extend around the main central pipe. These auxiliary conduits supply hydraulic fluid pressureto the subsea blowout preventer and lower marine riser package.
