Abstract

According to news reporting originating in Rijeka, Croatia,by NewsRx journalists, research stated, “The present research aims to provide a practical numerical toolfor the mechanical analysis of nanoscale trusses with similar accuracy to molecular dynamics (MD). As afirst step, MD simulations of uniaxial tensile and compression tests of all possible chiralities of single-walledcarbon nanotubes up to 4 nm in diameter were performed using the AIREBO potential.”Financial support for this research came from Croatian Science Founda-tion.
