By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Robotics & Machine Learning Daily News Daily News-New study results on artificial intell igence have been published.According to news reporting out of Nicosia,Turkey,by NewsRx editors, research stated,"Healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) are the most common adverse events in healthcare and constitute a major global publ ic health concern." The news correspondents obtained a quote from the research from Near East Univer sity:"Surveillance represents the foundation for the effective prevention and c ontrol of HAIs,yet conventional surveillance is costly and labor intensive.Art ificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) have the potential to suppor t the development of HAI surveillance algorithms for the understanding of HAI ri sk factors, the improvement of patient risk stratification as well as the predic tion and timely detection and prevention of infections.AI-supported systems hav e so far been explored for clinical laboratory testing and imaging diagnosis,an timicrobial resistance profiling, antibiotic discovery and prediction-based clin ical decision support tools in terms of HAIs.This review aims to provide a comp rehensive summary of the current literature on AI applications in the field of H AIs and discuss the future potentials of this emerging technology in infection practice."
