Abstract

By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Robotics & Machine Learning Daily News Daily News-Investigators publish new report on Ar tificial Intelligence.According to news reporting from Fayetteville,Arkansas,by NewsRx journalists,research stated,"The emergence of publicly accessible ar tificial intelligence (AI) large language models such as ChatGPT has given rise to global conversations on the implications of AI capabilities.Emergent researc h on AI has challenged the assumption that creative potential is a uniquely huma n trait thus,there seems to be a disconnect between human perception versus wha t AI is objectively capable of creating." The news correspondents obtained a quote from the research from the University o f Arkansas,"Here,we aimed to assess the creative potential of humans in compar ison to AI.In the present study,human participants (N = 151) and GPT-4 provide d responses for the Alternative Uses Task,Consequences Task,and Divergent Asso ciations Task.We found that AI was robustly more creative along each divergent thinking measurement in comparison to the human counterparts.Specifically,when controlling for fluency of responses,AI was more original and elaborate."
