According to news reporting originating from Worcester, Massachusetts, by New sRx correspondents, research stated, “We investigate the dynamics of a magnetoel astic robot with a dipolar magnetic head and a slender elastic body as it perfor ms undulatory strokes and burrows through water-saturated granular beds. The rob ot is actuated by an oscillating magnetic field and moves forward when the strok e amplitude increases above a critical threshold.” Financial support for this research came from National Science Foundation (NSF).
